Welcome to Fontbonne Academy's HTML & Web Design Course!

This course is an introduction to Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) and web page design. In the 21st Century, knowledge of this area is essential if a student is looking at a career in communications, graphic design, web design, marketing and publications.

Students learn how to create simple web pages using HTML before designing pages using the Dreamweaver program. Once students have an understanding of the elements of the program behind the web page, they can manipulate their pages from both a code and design point of view. The curriculum covers basic and advanced web design with a focus on collaborative learning, media literacy, website evaluation, page design and content.

In addition to code, students learn how to design and incorporate animations into their pages using animation programs such as Animationshop and Flash. Results are displayed in this Wiki as a showcase of their work for additional comment and review.

ANIMATION
Click on the pages on the left navigation bar and view some of our animated globes! Using a animation program, students created their own animations by first drawing scenes and then applying computer skills to make them move accordingly.

The following students created videos, uploaded them to Youtube, and embedded them into their webpages.
